Urgent alert:

If you or the young person is at immediate risk and needs urgent help with their mental health, please call the 24/7 urgent mental health line by calling NHS 111 and choosing the mental health option.

To make a referral into Wirral Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) - formerly known as CAMHS – please visit the Branch website and complete the matching questionnaire. The button below will take you there.

Branch is an online mental wellbeing hub for children and young people in Wirral. It doesn’t deliver services directly – it’s a guide, helping people toImage_14614_Large.jpg find the best tools and local support that matches their needs.

It can be used for any child or young person, no matter how big or small their worries feel. It’s packed with tips to help them feel better and, when they need a bit of extra support, gives simple routes into local services.

Branch is run by lots of different organisations from across Wirral, and is powered by a partnership between Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council and the NHS. We’ve joined forces because we want to make mental wellbeing support easier to understand and access.

Accessing support through Branch

  • Fill out the matching questionnaire – you will be asked some questions about your mental wellbeing, your life, and your preferences when it comes to accessing support. The questionnaire will take about 5 minutes to fill out.
  • After you complete the form, you will see personalised recommendations for support to meet your needs, based on your responses.

If an assessment with Wirral CYPMHS is indicated, when you have completed the questionnaire, your answers will be shared with the service and will get in touch with the next steps.

Branch can be used to make a referral for a young person (under the age of 18) who is registered with a GP in Wirral, Merseyside. If the young person is registered with a GP in Cheshire (including Chester and Ellesmere Port), please visit the Cheshire CYPMHS pages for information around how to access services in Cheshire.
