Each bedroom has its own en-suite facilities and as well as internal courtyard areas, we also have our own garden with a horticultural area, a small animal garden, a greenhouse and a covered outdoor seating area.
Ancora House School is also located on site, which has six classrooms, including a science lab, and all rooms are equipped to A-level standard.
We also have our own gym, multifaith space called 'The Sanctuary' and a large relaxation space called 'The Den' which hosts a projector, multi-changing lights and soft seating.

Ancora House is located on the Countess of Chester Health Park, near Bowmere Hospital.

There is free parking, including disabled bays, and covered bike parking.

The site is on the doorstep of the Countess of Chester Country Park, and is also close to Chester town centre and Chester Zoo.

Public transport options include buses stopping outside the Countess of Chester Health Park and Bache train station, just a short walk away.
National Autistic Society autism accreditation
Ancora House is proud to hold the National Autistic Society Advanced Specialist Award accreditation. The accreditation is the UK’s only autism-![]()
Some of the changes made during the accreditation process at Ancora House included installing sound absorbers in the ceilings to reduce noise levels on the unit, developing easy-read versions of patient literature, making changes to furniture and the introduction of a sensory room.
Autism awareness training is also now included in the local induction for new starters at Ancora House to ensure all staff have a good understanding of the condition.
