Last month we celebrated MyMind week! During the week of 7th July 2025, we held a Children, Young People, and Families (CYPF) Care Group themed week and highlighted the recent work we’ve done to update and improve our MyMind website.

about the MyMind website.

What is MyMind?

MyMind was created in 2011 by Cheshire and Wirral NHS Partnership Trust. It was created specifically to be a website for young people and their families to access resources, navigate the CYPF services that were available to them, and learn about how they themselves or their child could get involved in Participation & Engagement opportunities to help us improve our services and make sure their voice was heard.

MyMind’s aim was to be easy to read and navigate from the perspective of a young person, and to be a central hub for them to look after their mental health. Our Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) teams use MyMind to keep up-to-date information about their teams and services, so that they can more easily share it with who they are supporting. Along the way, we work with young people, families, carers, and staff to hear their thoughts and make improvements to this based off of the feedback we capture, and MyMind Week was an opportunity for us to reintroduce MyMind for those who don’t know it, or those who don’t know the work that’s been happening to make it better and more accessible for all.

What we shared

On social media, we shared information every day of the week, breaking down each section of the website and the changes that have been made.

Our MyMind ‘Task and Finish team’ have worked hard to make navigating our Helping myself section more accessible and updated processes to make sure the resources that we recommend are relevant and useful. By putting your location first, we have filtered out the resources that might not be available in your area so you can more easily access the help you need.

We’ve also developed site tours of our locations, so you know exactly what to expect when you come to one of our clinics for the first time. Co-produced with young people and their families, many of these voiceovers are written with and delivered by young people.

We now also have a Working with us page, that provides information about what it is like to work for CWP, stories from our staff, and a highlight of our most recent CYP vacancies.

If you’d like to see what we shared on our social media during MyMind Week, you can follow us on our social media on Instagram, X, and Facebook.

Who got involved

To kickstart the week, Eleanor, Phoebe, Ian, and Sophie from our MyMind 'Task and Finish Group’ met with Tim Welch, Chief Executive of CWP, to discuss all things MyMind, its history, how it’s developed, and how it can help.

Our executives also spent the week visiting our CYPF teams across Cheshire and Wirral, to get to know them and hear from their experiences. In particular, after Cheshire’s ADHD and Autism Rapid Improvement Event, our executives were keen to catch up with the ADHD and Autism Team (AAT) to see how they were getting on after their move to Beech House.

Going forward

After MyMind week, our efforts have not stopped to keep working on the website as we work closely with our teams to add updated and helpful resources for you. Our teams are dedicated to making MyMind accessible, keeping resources up-to-date, and listening to your feedback to make it even better!

If you’d like to get involved in sharing your feedback or lived experience, please read more about Participation & Engagement and get in touch to find out what opportunities there are for you to share your voice.
