This summer the Wirral Mental Health Support Team (MHST) will be delivering holiday sessions to Primary School children aged 8-11 in different locations across the Wirral. The team are offering two different programmes. Both programmes can be attended as individual sessions or as a block of 5 sessions.
Sessions will run from 9:30am until 11:00am.
Programme 1 – My Mighty Mind
My Mighty Mind is a wellbeing programme based on positive psychology research, designed to help children build a strong and confident mindset.
It is ideal for children who enjoy:
- Reading
- Writing
- Group activities
What children will do
Across five engaging sessions, children will take part in:
- Creative activities
- Games
- Discussions
Each session includes completing a wellbeing journal designed to help children:
- Build confidence
- Understand and manage emotions
- Strengthen relationships
- Develop positive mental wellbeing skills

Programme 2 – 5 Ways to Wellbeing
5 Ways to Wellbeing is a practical, evidence-based programme that helps children:
- Build positive mental wellbeing
- Develop healthy habits for everyday life
The programme is delivered over five sessions, each focusing on one of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing:
- Connect
- Keep Learning
- Take Notice
- Be Active
- Give
This programme is ideal for children who enjoy learning through:
- Movement
- Games
- Practical activities
What children will learn
Children will develop practical tools to:
- Boost their mood
- Build confidence
- Strengthen connections with others
- Support their overall emotional wellbeing
