This week, 16 – 20th March 2026, is Neurodiversity Celebration Week. Neurodiversity Celebration Week aims to transform how neurodiversity is seen and understood. This week we recognise the many skills and talents of neurodivergent individuals.
Since our rapid improvement workshop in June 2025, our Autism and ADHD Team have been working hard to make improvements to our services based on your feedback and lived experience. As a part of that, we have seen several new video resources being added to the MyMind website.
Our latest videos have been made to help you know what to expect when you come for an autism assessment appointment. These videos include what will happen before your assessment, what the building will look like, what happens during the assessment, and what the next steps will be after your assessment.
We now have a video for each place you might go to, including Space4Autism in Macclesfield, Elm House in Macclesfield, Marsden House in Chester, Kingsley Resource Centre in Ellesmere Port, and Eastway in Chester. Below is our video for Space4Autism.
These were made with the support of Space4Autism, and the amazing young people involved who helped to write the script, choose pictures, and record the voiceover.
In August 2025, the team also released a video about what to expect at your Cheshire QB test, which is a part of an ADHD assessment. We hope these will help you, or your young person, feel more prepared and comfortable before coming for an assessment or QB test.
You can find these videos and more resources on our Cheshire ADHD and Autism Appointment Resources page.
